What Do The Vehicle Icons Mean?

Copart Lot Icons

On our Lot details pages, you will find a Vehicle Highlights section which will give you a better understanding of the vehicle. Please ensure that you read this section in full, before placing a bid at auction.

Here’s a helpful explanation of some of the terminology used for our vehicles:

Run and Drive

At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart’s location, Copart verified that the vehicle started, could be put into gear and was capable of moving forward under its own power.

There is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle is in roadworthy condition or can be driven lawfully upon the highways in any state or country. There is no guarantee that the vehicle will start, drive, or move forward under its own power at the time the vehicle is picked up at Copart’s location or when it is delivered to a Copart Member.

Engine Start Programme

At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart’s location, Copart verified that the vehicle started, and ran at idle.

There is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle will start or run at idle at the time the vehicle is picked up at a Copart location.

Enhanced Vehicles

Lots listed as Enhanced Vehicles are those where: the Seller has authorised Copart to perform an enhancement service to the vehicle such as a wash and vacuum or protective covering, or the vehicle is under a programme that gives Copart discretion to utilise enhancement services to maximise the value of the vehicle.

This designation does not guarantee that any enhancement service was completed but rather indicates that qualifying vehicles would be enhanced. It is the Member’s responsibility to inspect and verify the utilisation of enhancement services.

Featured Vehicles

Featured vehicles are highlighted by Copart as likely to generate high interest among our members. Featured vehicles are accessible from the Homepage and Vehicle Finder page.

Additional Information

The Additional Information area is a place where important information about the Lot is displayed for the Member’s consideration when bidding.

Polygon

Polygon Decontamination Service (UK Patent No.2472429) uses industry leading restoration technologies to decontaminate fire & water damaged vehicles. This process significantly improves the quality of salvage and ensures completed vehicles are in line with relevant environmental health standards.

Please note:

These terms are to be used as a guide. It is the Members sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect and/or investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from the Copart premises, the Member accepts the vehicle “as is”.
